Client Profile

Adrians Records in Wickford, Essex is the largest independent music and video retailer in Britain. They have offered a telephone mail order service for their huge stock of rare and collectable albums and singles since 1969.

Requirements

Although the company has huge experience in mail order, this revenue stream had been in decline over the last few years. The decision was taken to sell over the internet but they needed a simple solution that could be used by all of the staff and handle their huge back catalogue of vinyl and CD's.

Solution

After an in depth consultation, were we learnt the working process of the shop and their needs, we recommended Actinic as the online shopping cart software. This product could easily handle the large number of products expected to be sold and offered the secure, bank approved, online payment facility needed to take credit cards on the internet.

We created a bespoke design to reflect the companies logo and brand.
We then undertook the training of staff to add and remove products as well as processing all orders.


Results

The web site was launched in June 2005 and made its first sale within a week. Now with over 400 Artists and thousands of rare and collectable vinyl singles, albums, CD's and videos, the web site appears in the top ten search engine results for hundreds of artists. Serving over 25,000 unique web site visitors a month, the web site has been a resounding success.
